There are so many beaches, bays, museums, parks, and other beautiful places to see. Rather you’re interested in sightseeing, studying the history of the island, or just looking to have a great time, you’ve came to the right place.
-Iolani Palace
Iolani Palace is a ten room palace that is located in the heart of downtown. This palace is filled with historic details. The palace has tons of information related to King Kalakaua and his sister Queen Liliuokalani. These two were the last monarchs of Hawaii. The museum costs $20 per adult and about $6 per child. This palace is truly something to see. They even offer complete tours of the house to show guest around. If you are visiting the city, this is a place you wouldn’t want to miss out on.
-Waikiki Beach
Waikiki Beach is very popular for the city of Honolulu. This beach is extremely beautiful. The water is very blue and clear. The waves are defined and can be seen at anytime of the day. The sand is brown sugar honey colored and is very soft on the skin. Like most beaches, Waikiki Beach is completely free. There are also different shops along side of the beach for food and drinks. If you are interested in shopping, you can walk along side Kalakaua Avenue and you will find more clothing shops and restaurants to indulge in!
-Diamond Head
If you’re interested in hiking, Diamond head is the right place for you! Diamond year was created hundreds of thousands of years ago after a volcanic eruption. The scene is truly amazing, you will be astonished by the beauty of the hill. The hike up will almost be 800 feet up. The park is open from 6a-6p, if you aren’t into crowds, the earlier is better to visit. You can either walk or hike up, if you’re walking the cost is $1; however, if you chose to drive, the cost is $5.
-Manoa Falls
Manoa Falls is also a great place to visit for hiking, relaxation, and sightseeing. You will have access to this park 24/7 hours throughout the day. The cost to access the park is free; however, parking does cost $5. This park allows you to see a beautiful tall 100 foot waterfall. There is a lot of mud at this park so please dress accordingly. You probably will get dirty, but it will be totally worth it.
-Waimea Bay
Waimea Bay is another beautiful beach that is a must see. During the winter, the water has high powerful tides; however, when the summer comes the tides are relaxed and calm. The beach is completely free and it is opened from 5a-10p. This beach is a great place for surfing. Waimea’s waves reach as high as 30 feet tall!
