BOTOX® Treatments
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a manufacturer name for “onabotulinumtoxinA”. This is a toxin designed by a kind of virus named Clostridium botulinum. BOTOX® is a cosmetic product by Allergan (manufacture company). Comparable FDA-approved products include Dysport and Xeomin. BOTOX® cosmetic therapy in injection type is used to momentarily decrease deepset facial lines or wrinkles between the eyebrows by weakening the muscles. It an also be used in other Facial areas. BOTOX® treatment is mostly performed for cosmetic purposes; however, it is also good for treating migraines, hyperhidrosis[see below], and blepharospasm.
COSMETIC TREATMENTS
Cosmetic treatments, which are only accepted for people aged between 18 to 65, include having a physician or certified expert inject the BOTOX® straight into the influenced area. The toxin in BOTOX® then paralyses or weakens the muscle in the area, avoiding the face motion that causes face line and wrinkles. A treatment’s viability typically endures for 3 to 6 months.
HYPERHIDROSIS TREATMENT
BOTOX® is effective in treating excessive sweating condition known as hyperhidrosis. BOTOX® injections can easily paralyze any nerve, as the toxin is really strong; if we inject Botox in the nerves that signals to begin sweating, we can treat hyperhidrosis; however, this is not a permanent cure and requires a repeat after 6 to 8 months. Health insurance company does not cover Botox injections.
